For your consideration…….

If we are fortunate to live in a country where we can voice our opinions, desires, concerns we are fortunate. We can be thankful because that is not the case in many countries. Using our life flame and free will to express ourselves is a blessing from God. It is one we should take advantage of. However, today we are cautioned that we should not be so expressive…. so adament……that we blow out the flame of others. Nor should we let ourselves be over powered and our own flame blown out.

I have often mentioned to my friends, there are certain TV or radio shows that I will not longer watch or listen to. Usually they include an entertainer or comedian. I quit watching because while the dialog is said under the guise of being humorous, the energy I feel is mean-spirited. I simply do not need or want that in my life and avoid it whenever possible.

Expressing ourselves and exchanging opinions and ideas…..our truth…. is healthy and helps us all to grow. Trying to squelch and extinguish the flame of another is not. Again it goes back to truth. We need to live, breath, speak and act in truth and we must expect it from others. If we are not getting that, we need to simply block….not extinguish….their life flame from joining with ours. Just don’t accept it and don’t waste your own truth on deaf ears. It is not like there is a shortage of people to exchange truth with. Merge your life flame with others who share the need for truth, love, HOPE and joy.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….fan your life flame of truth.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pause, reflect on all you are thankful for.

What made me smile yesterday……

-My Alex is home.

-Mother/daughter manicure and pedicures.

-Lunch with the Martin family, AJ, Peanut and Alex.

-Talking to Jody.

-Jul’s email.

-Jackie’s recipe.

P.S…..Let us be thankful for all we have before us today, all that we are and our potential. Let us bless our loved ones and be thankful for them whether they are able to join us or not. And last but by no means least, let us be thankful for those men and women who make our freedom possible by voluntarily serving our country away from their loved ones today.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Rev. Chris
