For your consideration…….

I was tempted, but I resisted the temptation to put the Duck Dynasty family in the picture. “Happy, happy, happy.” is the phrase used by Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the family. I recognized it right away when today’s message came in because we often find ourselves using it now. The show Duck Dynasty has a huge following of a very broad mix of people. Competing networks constantly try to minimize it. But the underlying success it do to the love and values exhibited by the family. They are criticized  for vocalizing their Christianity. But for the Robertson family it is take it or leave it. It is a big part of who they are as individuals and as a family. If you identify with them and their values, they HOPE you watch if not don’t.

Once again, today’s message is about choice.  It is about defining the values that we hold dear and sticking to them. It is about defining what makes us happy and pursuing it. It is about finding love…all love, people, places, jobs, things…. and being committed to it. It is about knowing all of those things about ourselves and not settling for less.

Are we thrown curve balls? Certainly. But the key to growth and happiness, is dependent on the choices we make in handling them. The easiest path is not always the best path. It can be deceiving because the true path of least resistance….in the long run….is our happy path. It is the path that is conducive to our values and all we hold dear. Remembering that will help us in our choices.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….know the peace of your happy authentic self.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember breath is your reset button. When in doubt, pause and take a couple deep breaths and by all means ask your Guidance for help.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-I had an amazing morning meditation.

-Sitting out on the back patio and chilling in the morning sun with Jody.

-An unexpected sale.

-I was deeply honored to be asked by my cousin, Karen, to do readings at her yearly spa group. What amazing women! Each with so many gifts to share and amazing strength to do it. Wahoo!. I am filled with HOPE.

-My own Angels and Guides were amazing as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
