“Feeling Good”

(written by Anthony Newley  and Lislie Bricusse)

Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Breeze driftin’ on by
You know how I feel
It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me
And I’m feeling good
I’m feeling good

Fish in the sea
You know how I feel
River running free
You know how I feel
Blossom on a tree
You know how I feel
It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me
And I’m feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don’t you know
Butterflies all havin’ fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
That’s what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me

For me

Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of the pine
You know how I feel
Oh freedom is mine
And I know how I feel
It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life

It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life

It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
It’s a new life
For me

And I’m feeling good

I’m feeling good
I feel so good
I feel so good

For your consideration…..

It is so easy when I get a message that has at least one whole line in it. That is what happened today. I, for one, am so grateful for the internet which allows me to do this.

The song is simple and to the point. But we were given an additional message that was this exactly, ” Everything we need to heal our body, mind and soul is in nature….courtesy of Mother Earth.”

We are encouraged to spend time in nature. We are encouraged to notice nature. We are encouraged to listen to nature. We are encouraged to follow the lead of the birds, bees fish…..and be one with nature.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray……spend some alone time sitting outdoors. Ask your ego to stay inside.

-Drink lots of water.

-Take at least 10 deep breaths outdoors.

-Journal those messages you hear in your time of solitude.

What made me smile yesterday……

-It was the last day of the school year for me.

-My student from Tunisia. He explained how in their country there was a revolution and so it was not as safe as it was before. His dad works in Saudi Arabia and they were trying to make decisions for where his brother, sister and Mom should stay. Saudi Arabia was absolutely out he said because of his Mom and sister. Then just by chance (except we know there are no coincidences) his dad saw that 15,000 people from his country could come to the United States. So his dad and mom each filled one out. His eyes lit up as he told me that they could not believe it when his mom’s application was approved. Millions of people had applied.

We hear so much everyday about illegal immigration into this country. But rarely do we hear about the millions of wonderful law-abiding people around the world who are applying for legal entry. They all have a story that can make a heart sad or sing.

-The new microwave was installed and looks great. It has freed up so much room for us.

-I talked to both my girls and they are great.

-A surprise package from Cathy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
