For your consideration……

As I get ready to teach grade school today, I can pretty much bet that I will have students tattling on other students. No doubt, I will have to say, “Let’s not worry about them.”

Today our message is just that. We have full plates of our own. Unless they are impeding our own path, worrying about what our neighbor is doing is simply a distraction from our own. Anytime we are worrying about what someone else has or what they are doing, we are not focusing on what we have or are what we need to be doing. We need to stop and refocus on our own path.

But there is a second part of this message. If we have a hard time letting go of other people’s business, we need to ask why? We need to remember they are our mirror. What is the lesson we are seeing or hearing? Examples….Are we jealous? Then what is lacking in our own life? Are we judging them? Then we must hold that judgement unto ourselves. Are we using them as an excuse to procrastinate? Why?……….. etc.

We are asked today to focus on living our best life and let our neighbor worry about his own.

That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….focus on your path.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Focus on your path.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Every quarter I have a big job for a club I belong to. Yesterday was the day I needed to get it done. Yeah, 110 letters sent out..

-Bill’s hot dogs.

-Both my girls happy with the first day of the week under their belt.

-A great email from Cathy. Ditto.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
