For your consideration…….

As I meditated for today’s message I was given an image of a pig and then galoshes. I was confused and continued to meditate and I asked, “Which is the message about, pigs or galoshes?” The answer was galoshes so I continued to meditate on the “what about them” and dropped the pig image. Then as I went to look for an image of galoshes the above image immediately popped up. Don’t you love the affirmations especially when they are funny?

So what about galoshes? I don’t know about you, but I suspect it is the same as me. When I was young, no one wanted to wear those ugly galoshes. Moms would fight for us to wear them to protect our shoes. But kids did not want to wear the ugly galoshes to cover up their cute shoes.

But someone or someones looked at the conflict or problem and thought of a solution. They decided to change the perception. They created “cute” galoshes. They turned galoshes into a fashion statement. They made them the best part of a rainy day.

Today’s message is an example for us. It is all good. It is our perception that makes is seem otherwise. Not only can we change perception for ourselves. We can change other people’s perception. We can be the best part of their “rainy day”. That’s a lot of power. That’s a lot of opportunity.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…….get to your calm center. Sort out the negative energy and change it.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Identify any “perceptions” you want to change up. Do a “T” chart. Find the “opportunity”.

What made me smile yesterday……..

-Great hospitality from Cheryl and Paul and a great send off.

-A beautiful day for Cathy and my road trip. We not only had beautiful weather, we saw a lot of this country’s beauty.

-Bruce had a disaster at home. Normally I handle those. But he took the bull by the horns and is getting the hot water fixed. And by the time he talked to me he was able to laugh. I think I will handle the landscaper.

-Spending the evening with Randy, Michelle and the boys. Wahoo. It is so good to see them.

-Randy is helping me learn my new “memo pad”. I again have “HOPE“.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
