For your consideration……

“Truth rises….it bubbles to the surface.”

That is our exact message today. I am not sure why we are getting it this Sunday morning but none the less this is it.

It would seem that truth should be easy…..the easiest path. I am sure all of us remember our parents reminding us of this. I can hear my mom saying (and I have to), “…because if I find out you have been lying the punishment will be much harder.” Still sometimes we choose to run the risk of not telling the truth or at least not the whole truth.

Today we are told that not telling the truth, not telling the whole truth or ignoring the truth are all same thing. Truth wants to be free. It wants to rise up. It will choose the path of least resistance. It will stand in front of us. It will look back at us in the mirror. Be it from a child, adult, group, company or government makes no difference. The truth always seeks a way out.

We are reminded of this because our Guidance wants us to see the futility of not telling the truth or ignoring it. We are being asked to step up and into a new level of consciousness. We are not perfect. We will make mistakes. But that is ok. We just have to own up to them and make corrections as best we can. We learn and we grow collectively. And as others make mistakes and then wear and own their truth….. we are asked to be gracious, forgiving and accepting. We need to be the reflection we want to see.

John 8:32

New International Version (NIV)

32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray…..stay in touch with your truth.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Give yourself some “down” time today. WITHOUT GUILT.

What made me smile yesterday……

-I talked with both my sister and brother. I wish I could have been with them having fun celebrating Mom and the Kentucky Derby.

-My AJ. Wow, he pitched his team out of the last 2 innings and scored some outs. Wahoo. Then onto soccer where he scored to goals.

-A day watching fun games in weather that was beautiful.

-When I went in to wash my face before bed, I was astounded at the ball of fire looking back at me. Note to self….sunscreen.

-AJ loves his friends little brother. When he saw him after the soccer game, he ran up to him and kneeled down before him so he could talk to him on eye to eye level. I watched as little Nicky put his tiny hands on either side of AJ’s face to talk to him. That is truth. That is the way the world need to communicate.

-My Alex is on her way to her new squadron. They are very welcoming to her. She flew to San Diego and flies to her “boat” tomorrow.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
