For your consideration…..

I am thinking that Spring is really here because today we are given the analogy of yard and garden cleanup and soul clean up.

We are told it is time to “weed and feed”. We are asked to look at what attitudes, grudges, jobs tasks, people etc. in our life that no longer serve their purpose. It is time to weed them out and make room for the growth of our soul’s design.

It is time to make room for the beauty that needs to be expanded. Remember even flowers that are in the wrong place are weeds. It is time to make room for new plantings….new beginnings. It is time to fertilize our soul reminding it of its beauty and potential.

This is not a sad time. This is a time of great joy as we focus on our growth in the garden that is our life purpose.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….what do you want to eliminate? What do you want to plant?

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Make a “T”. Title it Soul Cleanup. On one side write down what needs to be “pulled”. And the other what needs to be “planted”.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-I love love love all the sunshine we have had this week. And yesterday I had small students who get out for recess. Color me happy.

-Rabbits are running rampant in my yard. Dude has finally noticed they are taking over and is making the attempt to run them back into the woods.

-An unexpected opportunity to have breakfast with my oldest daughter, Shannon. We used to do this all of the time. I miss it and that made today even more special.

-WAHOO. After 3 years of flight school, our second daughter, Alex is done with flight training. She had her last training flight and simulator. We are so proud and so happy for her…..and us. It is hard to believe that June 6th will be the 3 year anniversary of her Commissioning from the United States Naval Academy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
