For your consideration……

Today’s message is really about trust. We are asked, “If you had to define the necessities of any relationship, wouldn’t trust be included?” “Have you ever had a good relationship that lacked trust?” Of course, the answer is no. Without trust there can not be a good relationship. Without trust we can not have a relationship we can count on.

So why then do we lack it in our relationship with God, our Guidance and our authentic self? Faith is all well and good, but God wants us to trust him with no doubts. He wants us to know and receive all of the blessings he has for us.

Our Guidance is available to us 24/7. In most of our lives it is grossly underused because we don’t trust it beyond doubt. We meander through life hit and miss versus taking those few seconds to pause and ask of Guidance for direction. There is that standing joke about men not wanting to stop and get directions. Well?

And what about our authentic self? If we don’t trust ourselves, what are we left with? If we don’t believe in ourselves, how can we accomplish our life purpose? Have you ever heard someone say, “Well if you’d just shut up and listen”………. That is precisely what we all need to be doing. We need to ask our ego to shut up so we can hear our authentic self. I can’t tell you how many times I say in a classroom, “I’ll wait.” Because I refuse to have to scream over the chatter. Think of your authentic self saying, “I’ll wait because I refuse to scream over your ego.”

Today we are asked to focus in on and really think about trust. Do we trust God, our Guidance and our authentic self or don’t we? HOPEfully we will reaffirm our trust, shut our ego down when needed and live life with confidence moving forward on our lighted path.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..listen to you authentic self….trust it.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Journal “what you know for sure”. What do you trust?

-Practice pausing randomly. Be still. Ask for Guidance on whatever you are doing, no matter how big or small the task or decision.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A relaxing….just go with the flow.

-A fun conversation with my Sis. Yeah, it is nice to start my day smiling.

-My Alex.

-My Peanut has a hot bat. She got her first home run and a triple. Wahoo.

-Stillwater…..ahhhhh.

-I read a random book. You know, the kind that is strictly for entertainment….mindless.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
