For your consideration…..

I was so excited last night that I would have a “sleep in” morning. Instead I am so happy I woke up early because I woke up to magic.

Since I was a small child I have dreaded Good Friday. Overwhelming sadness always sits in my heart on this day. But this morning is so different. I feel I….we….have been given an enormous gift.

Everywhere I look this morning I see pinpointed light shining. When I let my friend, Dude, out, I saw a light shining in the woods. It looked as though there was a lantern and yet there is none. Everywhere I walked I saw pinpointed light; on the microwave, on the glass on the dining room buffet, on the wall in the family room, in the side yard, on my face. Wherever I turned, it was as though there was a laser pointed to grab my attention. The light seems alive….dancing.

Then I heard the message. Light overcomes darkness….always. It is not that there is the absence of light. It is that we are not always open to it. Or we are looking for it in all the wrong places.

God wants us to know that he always provides us light no matter the circumstance. We need to open our mind, hearts and eyes to see it. It may not be where we expect it but it is there.

God’s light comes from his love. It is our HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..stay connected and open to your authentic self….your own light.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Walk in the light. Reflect on your blessings.

-Give thanks to your God today.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Sunshine and warmer temps. Dare we HOPE spring is really here?

-My last student before the Easter break was one of my very favorites. He just makes my heart sing.

-Errands done.

-A nice chat with Jody.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
