For your consideration….

I remembered where this phrase came from as soon as I heard it. It is from the movie, “Pretty Woman”. In it Julia Roberts convinces the forever working Richard Gere to take the day off. Eventually they make their way to “cop a squat” in the park.

Our message is much the same. We are being reminded that we need to take a moment for ourselves. It isn’t indulging. It is investing. It is pausing to give honest reflection on where we are, how we feel and where we are supposed to go next.

Taking the time to “cop a squat” or pause allows us to catch up with ourselves….. get ourselves in sync. A life worth living is a life worth reflecting on. It is owed its due in a few moments to itself now and then.

Invest in you. Invest in hitting that pause button. “Cop a squat” preferably outdoors if weather permits.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…..get in sync with your authentic self. Listen to it.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Remember breath is your reset button. It always helps.

-Call that person that pops into your head.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Waking up to sunshine at Stillwater.

-Jackie make me chuckle.

-Lunch with Janet….to rare a treat but perfect.

-Some success with AT&T. It beats a stick in the eye.

-An evening out with a great lady, Paula. Hey, who knew we would also hear an author reviewing her book as well.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
