For your consideration…….

I am hearing all around me, “Why is everyone so cranky?” Well probably because this is the first full week back to “normal” after what seemed like a long holiday season. I heard another teacher telling a student yesterday, “You just have to wait a couple of weeks and you will have an extra day off.” Hmmm, I am not sure how I feel about wishing moments, actually weeks, of our life away.

Here is the deal. Here is what we have been asked to do today. Pick our battles. Remember yesterday we were told to “consider and decide”? This is the same thing only specifically relating to conflict. Maybe we are right. Maybe we have a right to be irritated or angry. The question is, does it matter. What is going to change if we choose to “pick up this battle”.

Don’t get the message wrong. Sometimes standing our ground or standing up for something is what we are supposed to do. But we should be very clear on what principle or good we are defending. Today is not about those. Today is about pettiness.

Still, holding the irritation inside is not good either. What is a better solution?  Takes a deep breath or two and throw up a blessing or throw out a “seed of HOPE”. They are easy, there is no shortage and we have taken an action. Now we can let it go. The Universe has it. It is all good.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….starting and/or ending our day in touch with our peace is always good.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get out doors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember to breathe.

What made me smile yesterday……

-An easy school day.

-Sunshine

-Alex sounds so good.

-I think somebody is getting her new job she has been waiting for. Fingers crossed.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
