For your consideration…….

Meaning of Consider: To fix the mind on, with a view to a careful examination; to think on with care; to ponder; to study; to meditate on.

When we look at the meaning of consider we realize we have a choice. We get to decide.

How do we feel about that? HOPEfully we sense freedom versus burdened or afraid.

At any given moment we get to consider and decide how we want our part in it to go. How do I want to impact it? How do I want to be perceived? What do I want to do? How do I want to feel? What should I choose?

Do I decide to turn it into an opportunity? Do I decide to let it go? Do I decide to choose happiness? Or do I decide to choose sadness? Do I decide to be a victim? Or do I decide to be a survivor? Do I decide to be a full participant, a main character? Or do I decide to just tag-a-long for the ride, be part of the scenery? Do I decide how to live my life? Or do I let life decide for me?

We could go on and on and on. Because the truth is we get to consider every bit of our lives. We get to decide how we live this moment and how we want to impact the next. Do we get to know what life is going to throw at us? Usually not, but we get to consider what it is and decide what we want to do with it.

We have a choice. We always have a choice.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray at least once a day.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be a full participant in your life. If you are struggling with a decision, meditate on it. Or you can use our good old “T” chart. Look at what you place on either side of the “T”. What carries the most weight? Is there something you could do to bring some of the things on one side of the chart to the other to make it clearer?

What made me smile yesterday…….

-I was an errand machine. I got absolutely everything on my list but 1 thing done.

-A rare lunch with Shannon at Carlyles’s that was delicious.

-A couple items out of the basement. Every little bit helps. And HOPEfully it is what Will needs.

-A new recipe that was easy for dinner. Want to make your husband appreciate your cooking? Go away for a week and leave him with hot pockets and pizza rolls.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
