For your consideration……..

I can tell you for sure that this message was anxious to be born. I normally receive the message in meditation that is after I set the coffee pot up, had my shower and let my dog, Dude, out. But today the message came while Dude was out. I was drawn to sit and watch. I don’t normally do that because if we make eye contact, he thinks I want him to come in. While sometimes that is true, in the morning I like to give him his privacy and space.

But this morning I did sit down as drawn and watch out the window. Dude and I did make eye contact but I was drawn to “take stock” and my lead from Dude. I watched as he took stock of his surroundings wandering throughout his yard. Then he simply sat down and “noticed” the morning, breathing softly and quietly and became one with it. Once he was finished, he quietly got up and came to the door.

I was drawn to follow Dude’s lead as he was going through his process. I took stock. I watched as the morning sun came up. I noticed that while it looks the same it is uniquely different to any other morning. The clouds and shadow patterns make it different, new and special. I noticed the silence and peace of it. So much is happening and changing with each second but all is silent and it feels as though we are not moving at all. Finally, I felt myself become One with this morning. I am.

As I looked out my window and Dude looked at his surroundings, you perhaps, were looking out at yours. We see the same sun rising but when we take stock each of us is seeing something much different. Notice the highlights and shadows are all unique to each of us. Imagine that. We each get our own sunrise each and every day. Each moment throughout the day and on into sunset and beyond is uniquely ours yet still part of the same Oneness.

We are being asked today to take stock of the wonder of the world that surrounds and sustains us. We are being asked to notice the gifts it brings to us. And finally we are being asked to “beone with it. Take stock and notice that your “Being” is part of that gift to the world, others and self.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……..

-Meditate/pray. Get comfortable with your silence. Listen to your Guidance.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take Stock….Notice…..Be. Unless we want more, we need no more New Year’s Resolutions than this one. We will find all the direction and answers we need as we need them in our own silence.

What made me smile yesterday……..

-I worked at our club yesterday for my monthly volunteer activity.

-Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and laugh.

-I go lots of help from Al. This is special because I asked for a report and he is computer challenged but anxious to learn and be of service.

-I have a report I put out. I am changing it and I got it all set up yesterday but not completely done before it was time to come home. But I finished after Bruce and I got home from dinner. Ahhhhh.

-New Year’s Eve dinner out with Bruce at the Sidetrack.

-Alex’s text message. She made it down the “expert” ski hill in Jackson Hole then wrote, “It wasn’t pretty but I made it.” She wants to look skiing like she does in the water. She wants to look like it is effortless. But evidently she is not quite there yet.

-Text messages from both of my girls at midnight. Shannon’s was especially beautiful.
