For your consideration……

Perhaps most of you have heard all of the predictions surrounding Dec.21, 2012. Certainly there is a lot of speculation both on TV and written about it. No one really knows what will happen when all of the planets line up on that day. But what is happening is that around the world  people are holding events for Mother Earth. They are creating space to hold Mother Earth at the center as healing blessings are showered on her. I don’t know about you. But I don’t see how that can be anything but good.

Both in school and through emails, Mother Earth dominates the subject matter so I should not be surprised that she is the subject of our message today.

Yesterday my students learned that food, water, shelter, space to grow, and air are all required to survive. All of these are provided by Mother Earth. How often do we consider that?

We owe Mother Earth our protection, love and blessings. Not just because we must have her to survive, but because she is beautiful, full of life and wonder and because her energy to us is one of nurture and love. She is a mother.

Getting wrapped up in the doomsday prediction causes us to lose focus on this moment. Reality is and always has been that this is the only one we are ever guaranteed. We are reminded that we can and should make this one count. And we are reminded to hold Mother Earth close to our hearts in prayer and blessings.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray. Find your calm authentic self and live from there.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice Mother Earth. Offer up a blessing for her. Laugh, play and love in her wonder.

What made me smily yesterday…….

-A great class of 3rd graders. They told me they are the best school in their district. Well wow, I believe it.

-A great evening with my AJ, Peanut and Kathy.

-Both my girls are off playing in the wonder of Mother Earth. Alex skiing at Whistler and Shannon basking in the fun and sun of Key West. Now that is how you do it.

-A Jody check-in.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
