For your consideration……

Are we feeling a little T.G.I.F? That is the message. Many of us a feeling a little battle weary from this week. We continue to offer prayers and blessings for those who have and continue to suffer from Hurricane Sandy. And we pray for those who are working tirelessly to help. We continue to pray for the those Americans who lost their lives in Libya…..and for the families they left behind. We continue to pray for the highest good on this election day.

Oh my, does it seem if it weren’t for bad news there would be none at all? No wonder we are feeling battle weary! And no wonder the message today is to “reward yourself.”

We are so quick to judge ourselves on what we do not do right or what we don’t get done at all. Just by its nature the media market bombards us with messages of how we can improve ourselves and our lives. The subtle message behind it is that we are not good enough just as we are. But that is wrong thinking. We are good enough. We are created exactly perfect for our personal life purpose.

Today we are being asked to be just as free with the praise of self as we are with the criticism. We are asked to reflect on what we do get done and all of the good things we do. Give yourself compliments and pats on the back in real-time. That will proliferate the positive energy you have created.

And finally, we are asked to reward ourselves today. Maybe it is a spa treatment, a long soak in the tub, a dinner out, a glass of wine or two, shopping or a great desert. You know how to reward yourself. Take the time to do it and don’t forget to tell yourself it is for a job well done.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate. Take the time for yourself each and every day. It helps us find the peace we seek.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Notice Mother Earth.

-Reward yourself. You know, it doesn’t have to be just one thing. It could be a whole evening of the celebration of you.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Ahhhh a day off. I didn’t get anything done that I had planned but I got a whole lot done of what I didn’t.

-Bruce and Bob. Now there is a real spa duo for you!

-Chatting with Shannon. We don’t get to do that enough.

-Alex is a super girl.

-Drinks with Kathy and Nick.

-Dinner with Kathy.

-The CMA’s made for some fun relaxing TV. That’s what we like stress free TV.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
