For your consideration……

I just have to laugh. I can not adequately explain how much I relate to this message. I can give you example after example…..don’t worry I won’t. But suffice to say, I understand today’s message. We sometimes tease my husband and call him Doom and Gloom. Before he retired, Sunday was his special day. He used to start terrorizing Sunday about 1:00 in the afternoon. Whining was a honed skill.

We get lots of messages about time and living in the moment. But today is much more specific. It is about Sundays (It is understood that some people’s Sunday is another day of the week).

Many of us count the days down until our weekend off. We celebrate “hump day” and Friday. Friday gets here and we count the hours until it is over and we are off. Can you relate?

Just as excited as we are for weekends and vacations, many of us waste some or all of our Sunday because “tomorrow” the weekend is over.

We are reminded that the weekend is two days long. And it is not over until it’s over. Keep that brain engaged in enjoying every moment of Sunday. Don’t wake up and engage in dreading tomorrow. Don’t quit half way through the day and turn your attention to Monday.

That is just a waste of precious down time you worked for. You earned your Sunday. Make the most of it. Relax, play, love and enjoy family and friends. Don’t engage in regrets that it will be over “tomorrow”. We can’t even be sure tomorrow will ever come.  No, make your Sunday everything it can be. Live it completely. Celebrate each moment of it….all of it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……..

-Meditate. Start your day off right in the peace of your own stillness.

-Drink lots of water.

-Take in at least 10 deep breaths outdoors.

-Go for a walk, sit or play outside.

-Open the windows if it isn’t too hot.

-Do what makes you happy today. Fill your spirit with joy.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Peanut’s swim meet. She had a great IM and exciting relay.

-Alex’s Facebook. I love her humor.

-Sharing funny stories with Jackie.

-I am reading some fascinating material.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
