For your consideration……

If the question, “Why do we have conflict in our life?” were asked, there would be hundreds of different answers. We would be hard put to find consensus on one answer. But HOPEfully we could agree that on the other side of conflict we find we have grown. What is that saying, “What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger.” True, except that in death is when we have a huge growth spurt.

The rose symbolizes many things to us, love, peace, wisdom, strength, beauty, passion etc. The color of the rose often is the key to what it is representing. We give roses for many reasons; celebrations, comfort, love, happiness,  etc.

Our message today is to look at conflict as we do the rose…..a gift given for any number of reasons. Experience tells us that we will get to the other side of our conflict better for having gone through it. So rather than dwell on the angst of it, consider it a blessing, a beautiful time in our life where like the rose we will continue to blossom. The sooner we move into conflict, embrace it and move into its flow, the sooner we receive the gifts of it. That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray. Recenter with your breath and relax into your inner peace.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Journal what you are grateful for.

-If you are in the midst on conflict. Buy yourself a rose.

What made me smile yesterday…..

Talk about going with the flow….lots to do but somehow I just moved from one task to the other paying no attention to the clock and like magic it all worked out in perfect timing.

-Everyone who knows me knows that I just don’t like the drive “up north”. Still a long time ago I promised to help a friend and so this is the weekend. I had to keep myself from laughing out loud. Because like when I was a kid, I had to bite my tongue to keep from asking “How much longer?” “Are we there yet?”

-Talk about returning to childhood. I had to laugh each time sister, Mary and Martha, had “friendly” differences of opinions. Too funny. A grocery store experience I will not soon forget.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
