For your consideration…..

Wrens and Bluebirds are not natural friends. So I was surprised to find the above when I was given today’s message and started searching for a photo with both in it.

Today’s message is for women. For thousands of years now, women have been separated from their authentic self and true roles. Lucia Renee writes it Unplugging the Patriarchy and Pat Fero quotes her in Sacred Marching Orders, “The solar feminine embodies yang energy, strength, passion, creativity, and action–qualities that have not been appreciated in females since the matrilineal era of some 6000 years ago.” She also writes, “The solar feminine is quite different from the lunar feminine whose yin energies–gentle and receptive, and nurturing–were the only type of femininity that has been accepted through the Patriarchal Age.” Of course, depending on the woman and life time frame, this varies in degrees of separation.

The bluebird and wren are given to us today symbolizing the importance of what is happening around the world. Women everywhere are meshing their two halves, their solar and lunar, their masculine and feminine etc. sides.

Wrens are cunning, resourceful, adaptable, scrappy and has a voice much bigger than larger birds. Of course, women have always had these qualities. But they were not always allowed to fully use or develop them. When women demonstrate these qualities they are not valued as when men use them. Frequently when men demonstrate them they are called strong, tough, determined etc. While women demonstrating the same are called overbearing or bitchy. The wren today is representing the “Solar or Divine Feminine” standing up, seizing and using all of her abilities proudly and responsibly.

Bluebirds today are representing the Lunar Feminine, the gentle nurturing side of women. They are unaggressive unless threatened.

But today bluebirds are reminding us of much more. As women everywhere stand up into their power to right the world, they are reminded to not push or bully. Bluebirds remind us to work hard but also to play hard. We don’t have to shoulder all the responsibility, we can share it… collaborate. We know how to do that wisely. We are reminded to use our voices for good and joy. And we are reminded that we are born to happiness and fulfillment and we should always be looking for the opportunities that bring us to that place. (Ted Andrews, Animal-Speak). As go women, so goes the world. That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray. Consistency is the key to opening up to your Guidance.

-Drink lots of water. Water keeps the body moving and helps with clarity.

-Take in at least 10 deep breaths outdoors.

-Listen to the birds reminding you of ALL that you are. Let them encourage you to quietly but firmly stand in your power. Let them remind you of the joy you deserve. Let them remind you to smile. Let them remind you to share yourself with the world.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Lunch with Judy. I can not remember the last time I lost 2 hours. But that is exactly what happened. Time flew. Thank you, Judy for all of your help.

-Alex appreciating herself. And she found a great yoga studio. And other girl friends are finally moving to Whidbey Island.

-New plans.

-Great ideas.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
