For your consideration….

“The measure of mental health is the disposition to find good everywhere.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

It seems like we have received this message before. None the less, here it is again today.

Quite simply….holding a grudge solves nothing. There is no winner, only losers. It does not matter who was right. It does not matter the wrong. All that matters is our behavior and how we handle the issue from this moment forward.

We own this moment. We can make the shift to heal our life. We can make the choice to realize that no matter the event, there was something good in it for us. We were not there by accident. The people involved were not there by accident. There was something in the event we needed to move forward. There was a lesson. And for that we can be grateful.

We need not carry the heavy burdensome grudge baggage around with us. It does not serve us. We do not need it. Be grateful we are on the other side of issue. Be grateful for the lessons. Be grateful that we have once again found our footing and balance. That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate. Let go of your burdens and find the peace.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. They will be so refreshing and renewing today.

-Drink lots of water.

-Who was the first person you thought about when you read today’s message? Perhaps that is where we can start to let go of some baggage. Do you think?

What made me smile yesterday……

-We have sun again.

-I got to spend time with my Mac and AJ.

-Their next door neighbor, Kim, had us over for dinner before the girls went to swim practice. It was such a nice time. It was just like Friday nights are supposed to be….a glass of wine, nice chit-chat, no stress.  And I got to meet a new friend, Amy. How fun was all of that! Thank you, Kim.

-A slow drive home with lots of snow……..slow and peaceful.

-Shannon called on her drive home. Perfect, I was not left laying here worrying if she was alright. The roads really were in terrible shape.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
