For your consideration…..

Consciously and unconsciously we are pulled in many different directions this time of year i.e.; In the colder states we tend to want to get indoors and hibernate, yet we crave more sun. We are so close to the Winter Solstice and the shortest day of the year but we feel we need more hours in a day. And we want to drink more hot things but we need more water to hydrate from the furnace heat in our homes. We have many additional tasks this season but we want to stay closer to home. We must get out and about within the hustle and bustle but we crave cuddling at home under a blanket. Everywhere we go everything is kicked into high gear with high energy but we are looking for peace and quiet. You get the picture.

Today we are reminded that indeed as the seasons and times of the year change so must we. Change is necessary for new birth, certainly as this season celebrates. But at the same time we must honor our own energy. We must not work against it but with it. We must follow our own energy flow and work within its pace and peace. Breath. Do what you can when you can. Know your love and peace is enough. That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate. Pull peace and calm into your day.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Listen to nature. Watch nature’s energy flow. Feel her synchronicity.

-Drink lots of water.

-Be joyous. Make time for peace.

-Stretch.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-My Peanut’s swimming championships. What a champ she is! How can I not be proud?

-Birthday shopping. Check. Done.

-An afternoon with my daughter, Shannon. A rare treat for which I am thankful.

-Yes, an early to bed night ummmmm.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
