The aloneness is total and complete.

Not loneliness but aloneness.

Loneliness is always concerned with others;

aloneness is concerned with oneself.

For your consideration….

Yesterday I had it all figured out what I was going to blog about today. That is unusual but I was excited to get a little bit ahead. But, of course, I was completely turned around today after I meditated. This is totally not where I was headed. But no matter. While I do not get to know the whys, I suspect that we are still being directed to finding our truth. Remember that was the message from Archangel Michael on November 11th. I think these last few days we are being given direction on how to go about that.

Everyday in the action steps in this blog we mention meditation. Clearly I feel meditation is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Still it is not easy for some people. Indeed it often takes lots of practice. But today we are not talking about meditation. Today we are being reminded of the value of just being alone with ourselves. I am not sure where the quote, “Being alone is not the same as being alone.” came from. But I love it. It is so true.

Each of us needs alone time…..down time. We need to be alone with ourselves. We need to intimately get to  know ourselves. We need time to reflect. We need to get in touch with our own feelings separate from anyone else’s. We need time alone to clear out the cobwebs and regain OUR clarity. We need the quiet to hear ourselves think. We need alone time to dream.

This sounds like such common sense to me. But I know most people do not do this or at least do not do it often enough. I see it in our students. We as a society have so much stimulation… children even more so….. we have forgotten about the me, myself and I time. We have forgotten that we need to stop to get back in touch with ourselves.

So today we are being reminded to take the time for us. It is important. We are important. Everyone wins when we are living our true authentic selves. We have a choice. We always have a choice. Pick you. Invest in you. Choose to make time for you. That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate or at least spend some alone time with yourself.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Consider going for a walk…..alone.

-Drink lots of water.

-Laugh

-Relax and reflect on the wonder of you. You have a unique role to fill in this life. Honor you.

What made me smile yesterday……

-It was a beautiful day here at Stillwater.

– I found someone to mow the lawn for me.

-The day was made perfect when my beautiful daughter, Shannon, and Peanut showed up for a girls’ overnight.

-A great dinner out and then into our pj’s early for girl’s movie night.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
