For your consideration…

Today’s message came in via a Bruce Springsteen song, “If I Should Fall Behind.” It is a beautiful song talking about committed relationships. While it is talking about romantic relationships our message today expands it to all committed relationships; parent/child, long-term friendships, and partners.

When we fall in love, we are individuals on the same page. It is what makes us commit. But as individuals, we each have a life path to walk. While we have committed to walking it together, our individual experiences may speed us up or slow us down. We may no longer be in lock-step with our loved one.

Our message today tells us that is ok. It is normal. It does not mean that our relationship is in trouble or ending. No! We are reminded of our commitment. We are reminded to wait for our loved one to catch up. They are worth it…remember why.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Protect our loving relationships.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful fall day.

-My young fives are great.

-A night at home. It has been a busy week.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
