For your consideration…

We are all “Doubting Thomas’s” at some points in our life. We wonder, “Is this for real?” “This seems too good to be true.” “Something seems fishy.” “I am not getting a warm and fussy feeling.”

And usually we are right. When we get those feelings that something is not right, we need to pay attention. On the other hand, we can not stunt our growth by always doubting everything. Eternal pessimism freezes out new and great opportunities. The truth is that we will never know the whole story of anything. We may only know our share, the part we are supposed to know.

So how do we know the difference, what is true and what is not?  At heart, at our soul level, we seek truth. Love and truth are what give us the courage to step forward into things we are not certain about…the unknown. We have to depend on what we feel in our gut is right and true.

As long as we are listening to our authentic self and following its lead, we should be able to move forward when it gives us the ok. We can trust that what we know, is all we need to know. We can have faith that what we need will be provided as we need it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Trust your authentic self.

What made me smile yesterday…

-An early release day made it possible for me to make a DKG meeting on time.

-We had a wonderful presenter, Barry Larue on the history and restoration of Starkweather Chapel in Highland Cemetery.

-A great cooking class.

-Friends, Reg and Yvonne, were both in class.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
