For your consideration…

Today’s message came in via the Adele song, “Someone Like You.” Specifically it is one line in the song that is today’s message;

Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead.”

It is true that sometimes love hurts. In this particular song a relationship ended. Many of us have been there. Sometimes love hurts when we physically lose someone through death. Yes, it is true that love can hurt.

But our message reminds us today that even if we feel the hurt of love, love is real. Only love is real. We are always made better by love….and it never dies. Even if the physical relationship has ended, its love never ends.

We can use the physical body as an example. It has a physical presence and a spiritual presence. They physical body may die but the spiritual one never dies. It lives forever. That is exactly how love is. It lives forever because it is woven into our soul.

We are asked to always embrace love. Even though we may feel hurt by it sometimes, we should never avoid it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate love…all love.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-One of the perks of teaching little ones is recess. I’m with the kids. It is the best time of the day.

-Catching up with Dianne and Alex. Love the good news about Jen.

-An old recipe elevated. Sometimes I do have successful new ideas.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
